EEOC Releases Ohio Statistics for Charges of Discrimination


Yesterday, the EEOC released Charge statistics for the last three fiscal years by state. The chart for Ohio reflects that year, there were 3,137 Charges of Discrimination filed in Ohio, which was approximately 3% of all Charges filed with the EEOC. Over 35% of them alleged race discrimination and almost 33% alleged retaliation. Over 27% alleged sex discrimination. Approximately 5% alleged national origin discrimination and less than 4% alleged religious discrimination. Finally, disability discrimination constituted almost 30% and age discrimination almost 29% of Charges filed in Ohio.
